Description :

The AdderLink ALDV104T-IEC transmitter is a high performance video/audio switch and extender that can drive between one and four HDMI (or DVI-D) screens located up to 50 meters away. The intelligent switch within allows you to choose exactly how two video inputs should be shared between up to four screens. The AdderLink DV104T transmitter is also available as part of a kit that also includes four AdderLink DV100R receivers (Part# ADR-ALDV104K-IEC). Links to the AdderLink DV100R (or optional AdderLink DV120R) receivers are made using screened twisted pair cables (Category 6 FTP or higher). Each receiver converts the long distance transmission signals back into high quality video/audio signals for each screen. Display management is made very straightforward thanks to the integrated AdderLink POD Manager web interface that allows full control and monitoring of all aspects from any location. A management API is also available to allow full integration with other control systems. For mission-critical display applications, an automated fail over mode also enables the AdderLink ALDV104T-IEC transmitter to actively switch between inputs if one video source suddenly fails.

Proof of Display via IP network
The unit determines if the entire system is operating correctly and video is visible on the monitors. It can detect if video is present from the player and whether the cables to the monitors are attached and the monitor is turned on. This information is available by an IP socket thus allowing remote diagnostics and integration into content management systems.

Source Failover
The unit can be set to detect that a video stream is present at the input. The unit can be set to automatically switch over to the second video input if the primary fails.

Security
Security on the web interface is by HTTP digest authentication (RFC 2617) with username and password as requested information.

API for 3rd Party Integration
The API documentation to control and receive data from the unit is provided with the system.

Digital Audio
Supports 8 channels of HDMI audio.

Perfect HD Digital Video
The ALDV104T uses an uncompressed video system where every frame is sent without loss with resolutions up to 1920 x 1200@60Hz (WUXGA) including 1080p, 720p and 480p resolutions.

50 meters over a single CATx cable
Video, audio and power all pass along a single CATx cable, providing up to 50m of extension. Distance can be dependent upon CATx cable types and the number of connection breaks for patch panels and wall plates. See overleaf for details.
Please Note: To ensure correct operation, Category 6 (or better) shielded twisted pair cable, no longer than 50 meters in length, must be used to connect the transmitter and receiver units. The use of shielded cables is important to maintain compliance with radio frequency energy emission regulations and ensure a suitably high level of immunity to electromagnetic disturbances.


Dual Head Extension
With two inputs, the system is suited to extending and splitting dual head systems.

Highly energy efficient - no external power supplies are required
The receivers are designed to be highly power efficient, using less than an eighth of the power required by competing systems. Power is supplied along the CATx cable meaning the support infrastructure required is minimal.

EDID Management
The system has intelligent EDID management allowing the true characteristics of the monitor to be passed back to the computer.

Plug and Play
The DV104T is delivered in a zero config state so you can plug and play. There is no need for additional drivers or software
